NOTE ! You should not be using coconut to power you dive tank compressor ! I have read reports that the way in which combustion occurs can allow Carbon Monoxide into the tank !

I would like to submit this mini article to register my interest in helping to understand how coconuts could be harvested and used in vehicles and for generators as an alternative for regular fuel. From my initial limited reading you take the COPRA (the flesh but not the shell ?) or just collect the coconuts and pulp them down, extra purification is needed to get the coconut oil. Some people have had more success using a mixture of diesel and coconut oil, I would like a 100 % solution for vehicles and generators etc. Please comment with your knowledge on current projects in the Caribbean on this..

Also viable for local solutions in the Caribbean will be sugar cane.
