The Bahamas: The Islands sit on two shallow banks and depths don't exceed 30 feet but then you get out to the trenches which of course drop of thousands of feet. With the magnitude of islands there is all kinds of diving, walls, caves wrecks, but the diving tourism is especially developed here for example with shark diving. Liveaboards are popular too.

When to Go: The slightly cooler months of September through to May 70-80 f. With the Bahamas you are more likely to visiting a particular resort however you can find more family run beachside accomodations. If you have a modest accomodation please let us know. There are some super upscale resorts with casinos for example as well. The outer islands offer more idylic and laid back atmosphere. Here is a good regional guide.
