Diving

The Gulf Stream passes by here and gives the island its subtropical climate. Divers come here for the wrecks No less than 450 of them ! Though the reefs are good. There is a unique bermuda shipwreck program which means you get a certificate if you dive any of the most popular of 18 wrecks. The water cools in winter and you will need a full wetsuit but it does get up to high 20 celsius in summer however. Visibility is better in winter and can reach 200 ft. The wrecks are at very accesible depths and there are for all abilities.



When to Go Depending on your preference for diving conditions better vis in winter but colder water for example. Also Humpback Whales pass by March to May.
