Curacao has some of the best diving in the Caribbean. Handy is the fact that the sites are close in meaning a lot of shore diving or short boat trips, also like Roatan in this respect, though Roatan doesn't have shore dives. You can expect coral gardens slopes walls and all depths of diving catered for Caves too. Good for beginners and advanced divers. They protect the reef with their Curacao Underwater Park 1,500 acres worth with plans to extend to the whole coast. Most diving is on the west coast with shelter. There can be strong currents and rougher swells on certsain sites, these mostly on the south eastern side.

Night diving is good and there is a tugboat wreck and a Cessna aeroplane. The best wreck is a cargo ship the Superior Producer in 100ft of water, perhaps Curacao's best dive. If you are there in September or October try and witness the coral sponges spawn on night dives ! There is a dive with cars and trucks from 1946 so you can see you will not get bored.
