The Dive Shop Ltd

The Dive Shop Ltd was founded in 1965 by Abdulhai "Paki" Degia one of the island's first qualified SCUBA divers.

He contributed information on Barbadian diving to such specialized magazines as "Underwater USA". His consciousness about the safety dimensions on SCUBA diving led him to be a founding member of the Eastern Caribbean Safe Diving Association. That body raised funds for the decompression chamber now at the Barbados Defense Force which is used to treat ailments, such as the bends, for Barbadians and neighbouring islands.

When Paki died, his son Haroon took over the dive operation. He has continued to provide exemplary service and arranges dive trips to meet every desire - day and night excursions for any level of diver.
