| 26.04.2005 Virgin Holidays launches biggest ever Caribbean brochure
Virgin Holidays, the UK’s leading scheduled tour operator to the Caribbean has launched its most extensive Caribbean brochure to date, featuring the largest selection of hotels and destinations of any UK tour operator, plus free kids places for the first time.
Offering its most comprehensive Caribbean programme yet, Virgin’s new 260 page brochure features 15 tropical islands, over 150 hotels, plus a range of twin centre options, island hopping itineraries, cruises and a selection of fly-drives. The new 2006 brochure has also undergone a bright red make-over giving it a new look and making it even easier for customers to choose a holiday.
New destinations this year include the idyllic island St Kitts and the tropical island Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands. Other new features include villas in Barbados which are great for families or small groups of friends, new pre-bookable excursions in Antigua and St Lucia as well as fly-drives to the Bahamas.
Commenting on the brochure Amanda Wills, Managing Director Virgin Holidays said: “I am very excited about launching our new look Caribbean brochure as it continues to be extremely popular amongst our customers. We now take more than 100,000 customers to the Caribbean each year and the addition of Virgin Atlantics new direct routes to Cuba and the Bahamas this summer and Manchester to Barbados in November will give even more flexibility and choice for our customers. Our scheduled flights from Manchester to the Caribbean with bmi have also proved incredibly popular with those travelling from the North and these have increased again this year giving a further boost to our programme.”
Knowing that many travellers now like to experience more from their holiday and not just visit one destination, Virgin Holidays has introduced a new concept – ‘Island Hopping’, where customers have the flexibility to visit three or four Caribbean islands in one holiday. Virgin has put together four itineraries combining internal air passes with accommodation, giving flexibility for customers to choose how many nights they wish to stay on each island.
Prices are greatly competitive in this new brochure, even in comparison to many of the charter operators, plus Virgin is offering price match guarantee. A wide selection of reductions and offers are featured throughout the brochure with free kids places, kids from only £149, free domestic flights from Belfast to Gatwick, domestic flights from just £10, massive 50% child savings during school summer holidays; free excursions, early booking bonuses, free nights, plus kids stay and eat free at many hotels.
Virgin Holidays continues to offer enhanced benefits for its customers, including the popular check-in-chill-out, free pre-bookable seats, on-line check-in without any hidden costs, flights with award winning sister company Virgin Atlantic Airways and the option to pay by direct debit making it easier to spread payments across the year.
A week’s holiday to Barbados costs from just £499 per adult. Price includes scheduled flights with Virgin Atlantic from London Gatwick or Manchester to Barbados, 7 nights accommodation at Silver Sands on a room only basis and transfers.
