I am interested to know about where I might do my PADI course in the caribbean. Also I suppose options outside of the Caribbean as well.
I'm an out of status divemaster and ideally would like to get some shop time in before as I feel its necessary to get up to speed on some things.

About IDC in the Caribbean, this is part of the info I have for the following months (this will also give you some time to prepare and practice your skills before the real training starts....):

The course director Patrick Hammer will be conducting a PADI IDC in St. Lucia. Patrick has been conducting PADI programs in St. Lucia for over 10 years. This year he will introduce all the candidates to the new program as well as offer PADI members the opportunity to update to all the new PADI changes.

The IDC will be held August 23rd to the 30th. They will offer a prep course on the 21st and 22nd. All candidate must have a current EFR Instructor card or they will need to complete that program on the afternoon of the 22nd and the morning of the 23rd. Specialties will be offered after the IE.

He will be conducting the all new PADI IDC and IDC Staff program in Jamaica on Sept. 13th to the 20th . Two days before will be the prep and two days after the PADI IE. He will also offer PADI Instructor Specialties after the IE.

He will also be offering the program in Turks and Caicos in October. That program is the 11th to the 18th. The prep is two days before and the IE is two days after.

Besides this, there are IDC every months (as far as I know) in other places such as Utila, Key Largo, Dominican Republic, etc.
