Sugar Ridge Resort and Spa is on the panoramic west south west coast of Antigua. Down here you will find a terrain of land and sea that makes for the perfect Caribbean picture. The resort is situated around a hillside facing the Caribbean sea - the results are amazing views for all the rooms. Sugar Ridge has an elevated position not only capturing the most stunning and panoramic views of palm lined beaches but it also has that perfect breeze to the perfect Antiguan climate should you decide to switch off the air conditioning and listen to the hillsides and gardens vibrate with the gentle life sounds. From your room, the turquoise Caribbean Sea, and the neighbouring islands of Redonda (Antigua and barbuda), Nevis and St. Kitts which bring the magnitude home.
All of the bedrooms are grouped into sets of four and each unit is generously spaced around the ridge-line. Each room has its own door (locks activated by radio frequency) . You will appreciate the planning which gives you the view and yet privacy the gardens are lush and beautifully groomed since design. Upper floor rooms have a large balcony and dining deck + day bed, the lower floor rooms are similar but include your own plunge pool ! The beds are 4 poster king sized draped in muslin still with ample space inside. The designer chose natural tones and contemporary styles throughout. State of the art amenities and technology keeps you in high touch not least an IPod docker and music player, electronic safe, LCD flat screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi Internet. Access around the resort is provided by the hotel's environmentally friendly electric cars.
Getting to the Resort or Spa
The Spa is open to non guests but getting there from public transportation is not idea. The public low cost minibusses are hot and uncomfortable but cheap. The better alternative is a transfer service like that of Best Antigua.
Scuba Diving from Sugar Ridge
Scuba diving is super accessible as Sugar Ridge is located next to Jolly Harbour (1 minute by car) where you will find dive shops to suit.
