Country

Located on San Salvador in the Bahamas 360 miles southeast of Miami.

San Salvador, also known as Columbus Isle, is  twelve miles long by five and home to very few residents just over 1000.

Most of the 50+ dive sites are located on the lee sidefor calmer diving. The dive sites are predominantly walls so the possibility of going deep is available, though you need not dive deeper than 40 feet to reach the reef if you prefer to keep a shallow profile.

Shark lovers will be pleased to hear that San Salvador is home to many shark species, the Scalloped Hammerheads being a favorite with our divers. This is a feture of diving in the Bahamas as the sharks seen more often in this part though nothing is guaranteed.

The marina is also a highly popular stop over for visiting sport fisherman, and Riding Rock the restaurant and Driftwood Lounge a hot spot where the after-dive crowd and the after-fishing crowd can mix and mingle.

User reviews

Not massively rated as a place to stay though ok for certain types it remains an option for those wanting to dive here. We wouldn't recomend staying until the owners decide to bring it back to the original ethos. Too often in the Caribbean it is an attitude of we wont improve until more people come - sadly that is the death knell.

The Club Med all too often next door is cited as a better option.
