Saba Island is dominated by its potentially active volcano Scenery at a rather lowly 877 m. But funnily enough this is the highest point of the whole of the Dutch Kingdom. It's the smallest of the Dutch Antilles however. There is Elfin Forest Reserve which was set up after the mahoganies on the island were largely destroyed by a Hurricane.

Diving : 2 Hyperbaric chambers are in place and the island has a reputation for unspoilt diving spots. The waters around Saba were designated a marine park since 1987.

The dive site Hot Springs has evidence of continual volcanic activity as you can feel the heat coming from the sand ! So I guess a 3mm full suit might be too warm - not for me :)
The volcanic nature gave the netherlands its highest point at 2877m on SABA and the features of many of the dive sites are volcanic caused sea mounts and pinnacles.

There are no beaches in Saba and the entertainment is low key in terms of that kind of Caribbean Island which has Casino's for example.

If you have a dive shop or resort please add it to this website using the links on the right.
